About Us » History and Philosophy
ECC Bank was founded in Brentwood in 1965 under the name Bank of Agriculture & Commerce (BAC). The Bank is owned by the Berberian Family, who has lived and operated businesses in California's Central Valley for more than fifty years. Ronald A. Berberian, President and Chairman of the Board, is dedicated to providing ECC Bank customers a unique community banking experience that is reflected throughout the daily operation of the Bank.
ECC Bank is one of East Contra Costa County's oldest community banks. We specialize in providing financial services to local businesses and individuals. Our expertise lies in our ability to offer a full range of banking services to the professional sector, such as physicians, dentists, attorneys, accountants, and other businesses engaged in commercial or industrial activities. We take care of the financial banking needs of the business establishment as well as the personal banking needs of the owners or principals and their employees.
ECC Bank has offices in Antioch, Brentwood, Concord, Discovery Bay and Oakley. In 2006 the East Contra Costa County offices of BAC became ECC Bank, a Division of Bank of Agriculture & Commerce. Although the name change had little impact on our customers, the new name reflects our heritage as East Contra Costa County's oldest community bank. ECC Bank continues to strive to meet the needs of its customers, supporting the local communities and caring about its employees. ECC Bank customers may use any BAC branch office or ATM to conduct business and personal transactions.
ECC Bank has seen steady growth since its beginning. The ECC Bank and BAC branch network stretches from East Contra Costa County, through San Joaquin and Stanislaus Counties, to serve and support the people and businesses of our communities.
